How Does Missing You Forever Work?

Missing You Forever allows for a convenient and easy way to create and share online Obituaries. We have done everything that we can to ensure that Obituaries leave the bereaved content in their final words to and about their loved ones. MissingYouForever.com allows you to write unlimited words about your loved one, and you can upload up to four images to be included in the Obituary.

Our site is user friendly, and anyone who has a computer will easily be able to create an obituary. The process is as follows:

Step 1 - Create the obituary. Take your time - the words used to describe your loved one are unlimited, enabling you to share stories, memories and include individuals close to the deceased. When you create the obituary, you may also upload up to four photos of your loved one.

Step 2 - We will email you the link to your online obituary for you to distribute to your family and friends. You can also share your obituary on multiple Social Networking sites, if you choose to do so. Click here to read about our privacy policy.

Step 3 - Check your tribute 24/7 to find support, kindness and words of condolences from your family and friends. Let the healing journey begin.

What is an Obituary? What Information Should I Include?

An Obituary is a notice of death, usually containing a brief biography about the deceased. It also contains information regarding the funeral, celebration of life or wake. Obituaries are generally posted a few days after someone passes away.

How Long Does It Take to Create an Obituary?

Obituaries can be created in as little as five minutes. Really, it is up to you. Depending on where you are emotionally, you may want to quickly post an Obituary with a brief biography and service information. Or, you may want to take days or even weeks to create a tribute that is to your satisfaction.

Missing You Forever does not believe that people should be limited in their final words to and about loved ones. The amount of time it takes you to build your tribute will depend on how much information you want to put into it.

What Can People Do With Online Obituaries?

People can view, print and share Obituaries, as well as write condolences in the guestbook.

    How Do People View Obituaries?

Obituaries can be viewed in three ways:

    • Family and friends can click on the link that you send them via email to view the Obituary. You can also post the link on Social Networking sites for people to click on.
    • Family and friends can search by entering the name of the deceased on our main page
    • People, Family and friends can go to the Advanced Search section of our website, enter in the name of the deceased or the city, then view the Obituary.

    How much does it cost?

The cost is $9.99. This includes unlimited words and four pictures. Obituaries remain active permanently after being posted to our site.

    Why Do You Use Paypal?

Security measures and costs associated with credit card/bank information are very high. If we were to implement these measures, we would have to raise our prices. Paypal specializes in this type of security. They are secure, fast, easy and convenient.

    Do You Confirm The Deaths?

When you post a Missing You Forever Obituary, we request the Funeral Providers information. At this time, we confirm the information provided to us. Obituaries are generally approved within one hour. If the Funeral Provider is not open at the time of your submission, the Obituary will be approved first thing the following morning.

We Already Posted An Obituary In The Paper. Can I Still Create An Obituary?

You can still create an Obituary, even if one has been posted in the newspaper.  You would be creating a Memorial, or putting up an Obituary because you were unable to do so (or were not satisfied with the one that was posted) for your own reasons. Our goal is to encourage healing. If you can find this healing through your own words, you are welcome to use our site to assist.

My Loved One Passed Away Years Ago. Can I Still Create An Obituary?

You can still create and share an Obituary for a loved one who passed years ago. The owner created the site because she found herself in this situation.  You can read her story here.

Why do you ask me for my email address?

We use your email address to confirm receipt of Obituaries, and to email you the link to your loved ones Obituary once it has been created.

Can't you email Obituaries on my behalf?

We could email Obituaries on your behalf, but doing so would prevent a lot of people from seeing it. Unknown email addresses often fall into junk filters, spam filters, or are automatically deleted from email accounts. If your family and friends receive the link provided to you from your email address, they will be guaranteed to receive it and view the Obituary. Furthermore, if we sent you the Obituary on your behalf, you would have to enter all the email addresses into our website. Us sending you the link allows you to simply forward the link to everyone in your address book. Our goal is to make this easy for you, not more difficult.

What do you do with my information?

We do not sell, trade or disclose ANY information that we receive from you. We do not have newsletters, updated information or any other information that we would like to share with you. You can read our full privacy policy here.
